ipad2 is here

They say it's faster, slimmer, and has new features but is ipad2 really worth the price tag of $499, $599, or $699 (depending upon the amount of memory and storage)?  Once you take a good look at it you discover that, besides having a new design and being a little faster, the only real change is that you can now take pictures with it and utilize Skype.  But who wants to wield that big thing around as a camera?  And I don't know about you, but I never Skype and if I ever have a need to I think I'll just use my computer.  I for one am very disappointed in how little the new ipad has to offer.  It appears to me that they alreayd had all of this capability when the first ipads came out and they just omitted including the camera and Skype into the original.  Maybe they had pre-planned releasing an ipad2 to get everyone to buy a second version later--I don't know--it just makes me suspicious.

I suppose that if you don't already own an ipad then the ipad2 is definitiely worthwhile.  However I won't be trading up from my original ipad until they up the ante a bit in the feature department with the ipad3--which I have no doubt will be revealed in a year or two.
